Halfpenny 1862 Die Letter B to the left of the lighthouse, Freeman 288, dies 7+E, LCW on rock. EF/NEF with some edge nicks and light surface residue. By far the finest example we have offered of this extremely rare type, rated R18 by Freeman. In our experience the rarest of the three main die letter types. Online research shows NGC have only graded 2 examples, the highest graded 45, PCGS have not graded a single example, and LCGS have only graded 2 examples, the highest being Fine 25, so this potentially the finest remaining example
Penny 1895 P of PENNY 2mm from trident Freeman 139 dies 1+A, in a PCGS holder and graded MS64 RB a high grade and sharp example with considerable mint lustre
Shilling 1693 EF or better with a pleasing tone and graded 70 by LCGS, ESC 1076 and rare in this high grade being the finest recorded of 6 on the LCGS population report
Shilling 1858 8 over 9, Bull 3014, Davies dies 3A, Obverse: upright of the B of BRIT points to a bead, 11 teeth between the A's in GRATIA. 8 over 9 in date, 5 over higher 5 in date, an unusual type, this confirmed by the LCGS Population Report which records only this single example. GEF or better and nicely toned, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 70. 1859 Shillings are the only date to use this die pairing, and with the overdate and overstrike on the same piece, these three factors make this an extremely rare coin. We note the 8 over 9 type is now listed by Bull at R4.
Sixpence 1708 Third Bust ESC 1147 virtually mint state and nicely toned with just some minor friction on the very high points which must explain the conservative LCGS grade of 70
Sovereign 1817 CGS Variety 03 Broken Serifs. Obverse: third I of III is a reversed 1. Reverse: I's in HONI and QUI have no top left serif, EF in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 65
Sovereign 1835 5 over 3 LCGS variety 02, unlisted by Marsh or Spink, of similar type to Lot 963 in the Bentley Sale, GEF in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 65, an unusual type
Sovereign 1908C (Ottawa Mint) Satin FinishS.3970 in a PCGS holder and graded SP61. One of the rarest Sovereigns in the entire series. See Notes in Marsh pages 81-83. Marsh stated that he had only recorded 11 examples, a superb piece and missing from many advanced gold collections, this coin is in an older style PCGS holder and seems very conservatively graded at MS61 with little or no contact marks and hairlines discernible under magnification, an example of this coin in PCGS SP63 realised £15,000 hammer in our September 2020 auction
Sovereign 1932SA Marsh 296, UNC and lustrous with a hint of toning, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 80, the finest known of 14 examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report. Very few Sovereigns attain the 80 grade

Large uniface black and white notes printed on watermarked paper with a frame and bank name at centre, and featuring a vignette of a shield with St. George slaying the dragon. Seldom seen notes especially as a consecutive pair
Malta (2) a pair of very collectible George VI portrait issues comprising a World War II period example 1 ShillingPick 16 ND 1943 uniface serial number A/1 528042, uniface in purple blue and lilac on teal and multicolour underprint, EF. Along with a 1 PoundPick 22 Law 1949 (1951) possibly a first series prefix serial number A/1 744381 and a high grade example in a PCGS Currency holder Choice About UNC 58, a Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited print in reddish brown on pale lime green and pale red underprint and watermarked with the allegorical figure of Malta, also features the St. George Cross at left on obverse awarded to the people of Malta for their courage, bravery and involvement in World War II being under constant besiege by Axis forces, serving to "bear witness to the heroism and devotion of its people".

Ex-Cheshire Collection NGC MS64 (the NGC ticket no longer with the coin.) In an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82, the only example of this date and type recorded by the LCGS Population Report. All Gothic Florins difficult to find in grades 80 and above, the LCGS Population statistics show only 22 currency coins of all Gothic dates have achieved grades above 80

Guinea 1774 ProofS.3728 Wilson & Rasmussen 95, upright die alignment, Plain bevelled edge, in a PCGS holder and graded PR64 Cameo, and with WINGS gold sticker (choice for the stated grade) a superb piece, choice and rare, showing the characteristic die flaw in the reverse field associated on some examples of this type (see illustration and notes in Wilson and Rasmussen Page 140 footnote). Stunning detail and eye appeal, the quality of strike considerably superior to the comparable currency issues of the period, a handsome and attractive addition to any quality collection of early milled gold. The only one graded by PCGS so yet another indication of this coins rarity

The Proof striking accentuates the intricacy of the design, and truly enhances the work of the designer. We note only 7 examples of this type have been graded by PCGS. An example graded PR65+ DCAM and a PR66 DCAM are the only finer graded pieces. A very sought after issue with a tiny mintage of 150 pieces, this type missing from many advanced milled gold and/or Half Sovereign collections
