Guinea 1702 S.3562 Good Fine/Near VF, lightly rubbed on the Queen's jawline and with some hairlines in this area, the reverse with some thin scratches around the central rose. All Pre-Union Queen Anne Guineas are extremely rare in all grades, the Standard catalogue now values these at £2250 in Fine, and £6500 in VF. We note our archive database stretching back to 2003 shows that we have only offered two pre-Union Guineas, of which only one was 1702 (London Coins Auction A167 Lot 594) which was graded AU50 and realised £4500
Guinea 1695 Elephant & Castle S.3459, VG, Ex-Jewellery, an extremely rare 2-year type, with the 1696 coin stated as 'Extremely rare' by the Standard Catalogue. Our archive database stretching back 21 years reveals that this is the first example we have handled. Further research has uncovered a coin offered at Heritage Auctions in January 2024, whose description stated that their coin was the first they had handled, and that NGC had only graded one (their) example. We note also that PCGS have only graded one example, so by statistical analysis alone, proves to be rarer than the Standard Catalogue would suggest, Guinea collectors will certainly be alerted to this rare opportunity to own a coin of this type
One Hundred Pounds 2023 British Monarchs series - Charles I One OunceGoldProof, Reverse: Charles I on horseback, in the style of the original Charles I Crown, FDC in the Royal Mint box of issue with certificate and booklet, a new release, with only 260 pieces minted, just 100 in this presentation format, now illustrated but not yet numbered in the Standard Catalogue (page 420)
One Hundred Pounds 2023 British Monarchs series - Charles II One OunceGoldProof, Reverse: A modern rendition of Roettier's portrait of Charles II, FDC in the Royal Mint box of issue with certificate and booklet, a new release, with only 261 pieces minted, just 100 in this presentation format, now illustrated but not yet numbered in the Standard Catalogue (page 421)
Half Guinea 1775 Third Bust S.3733 approaching Fine, the obverse with some heavier contact marks and thin scratches, by far the rarest of the three bust type for this year, an often-overlooked type, Very rare and seldom seen, the Standard Catalogue now lists at £1375 in Fine
Crown 1671 Second Bust Variety, R over B in FRA, unlisted by the 1992 ESC, Bull 385, Fine or better, weak in the centre as often on Charles II Crowns, a very clear overstrike. We note that we have listed the 'T over R in FRA' variety on many occasions, (rated R4) but this is the first 'R over B in FRA' variety we have offered, so by statistical analysis we believe that to be a much rarer type with potentially only very small numbers in existence. We note also that it is not listed in the 2024 Standard Catalogue

Ten Pounds 2014 100th Anniversary of the First World War - Outbreak 5oz. GoldProofS.WW37, FDC in the Royal Mint box of issue with booklet and certificate number 098. The accompanying certificate states that 110 pieces were minted, the Standard catalogue of Decimal issue now states that only 36 of these were issued. This being the case, this shows that the coins that were issued were not strictly of the certificates numerical sequence
Ten Pounds 2015 100th Anniversary of World War I, Reality - Landscape of the Western Front 5oz. GoldProof, the reverse with matt finish S.WW38, FDC in the Royal Mint box of issue with booklet and certificate number 44 of only 50 examples minted. The Standard catalogue of Decimal issues states that only 17 were issued. Our auction archive shows that we have previously sold three examples, those being certificate numbers 13, 14 and 17, this fourth example seemingly shows that those that were issued were not in certificate numerical order
Half Guinea 1751 S.3685 VF brightly cleaned, with scratches on the obverse and to the shield on the reverse, appears bent and straightened, our archive database indicates that this is the first we have offered of this date. Clearly undervalued and under-rated by the Standard Catalogue. the coin offered here was previously sold at Auction in 2010 and, as far as we have been able to establish, only one other example of the unaltered date coin has been offered by major Auction houses in the intervening 13 years.

Guinea 1679 Elephant and Castle below bust, S.3345 VG. the reverse slightly better, our archive database stretching back to 2003 shows that this is the first 1679 Elephant and Castle mintmark type we have offered. Despite the relatively small difference in catalogue values between Elephant and Castle and standard issues, these are many times rarer, as our archive database confirms on pure statistics over a long time period.

One Thousand Pounds 2020 (Pop Group) Queen - Rock Royalty, One Kilo of .999 Gold, and 100mm diameter, this imposing and impressive coin features an innovative reverse design, including an arrangement of each of the instruments played by each band member, the design fittingly reflecting the grandiose nature of some of their greatest songs. The design personally approved by band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, FDC in the impressive box of issue with certificate number 6 accompanied by an informative 16-page booklet. Currently unlisted by the Standard Catalogue, only 6 examples have been issued of this iconic coin, which will certainly become a sought after piece. We note all the smaller denomination Queen-related coins issued are already completely sold out by the Royal Mint. A must for both the collector of large gold issues, and the discerning Queen fan alike. A mintage of just six is the lowest we can recall seeing in the Royal Mint modern series, in addition the Rock Band Queen have sold over 300 million records which surely makes this lot a blue chip investment grade item.
