Blue on red/yellow underprint featuring a portrait of Lord Pitcairn, the first Chairman of the Bank at bottom centre and at upper centre an illustration of the allegorical figures from the Head office building's pediment. The reverse featuring a blue guilloche panel with an image of Bank's Head office building flanked by values.
