(Note: Proof 1887 five pounds nearly always have strong double crown lines and a 7.9 mm date. Those with no 'B.P.' ?have a weak first crown band and an 8.2 mm date).
Five Pounds 1887?Currency - Obv 2 as above with?ordinary edge and weak Obv. rim circlet, especially above 'D: G:' representing nearly the total issue for 1887. This specimen, however, is unusual by having pronounced matte surfaces as against the more usual proof-like fields. Lustrous UNC with some bag marks
