Florin 1874 ESC 843 Die Number 263, this by far the highest recorded die number for the 1874 coin (the previous highest recorded number is 64, this being very rare) EF/GEF and attractively toned with a few very minor rim nicks, the reverse with prooflike fields. Possibly an early working test for 1874 with the numbered obverse die from 1873, very rare and according to the vendor, who has studied the die number series over a 15 year period one of only two pieces known with this die number/date combination. A highly significant coin for both die number collectors and Gothic Florin collectors
