1697 3rd bust ESC 1566 virtually as struck designated 75 by with the old EF prefix, CGS now prefix their grades 75 and 78 with AU after complaints that coins with the 75 and 78 numeric grade were too good for an EF prefix (the grading system remains unchanged) and CGS will re-encapsulated free of charge any coins with the old EF 75 and EF 78 with a new ticket showing AU 75 or AU 78

London Coins holds auctions every three months in Bracknell, Berkshire with a dedicated section for Certified Coins. This section covers English Coins graded and encapsulated by third party grading companies including CGS - UK, and the US companies such as PCGS and NGC.
London Coins also offer an optional service where we can recommend coins suitable for third party grading and encapsulation where we believe value is likely to be added to an auction realisation price if the coin went through this service, these will usually be exceptionally high grade English Milled coins. We can arrange suitable coins to be submitted to CGS - UK prior to and ready for auction inclusion, an additional charge of £11 is levied on the sale price but we will only recommend this service if we believe more than this amount will be added to the hammer price result.
