Penny 1861 as Freeman 18 dies 2+D, Satin 24, with 8 over 8 in the date, the underlying 8 clearly visible in both loops of the 8 and also high and left, Satin states in his notes on page 20 'some examples have been noted with the 8 over an underlying 8', LCGS Variety 40, VF and pleasing, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 45, the only and therefore finest example thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report, Ex-James Workman Collection (part 1) September 2010 Lot 18, Ex-Frank Stephenson Collection, London Coins Auction A157 4/6/2017 Lot 2850, we note there was no example in either the Roland Harris or Andrew Wayne collections
