CrownElizabeth I mint mark 1 bold VF drapery particularly sharp, some stress lines as often, the reverse has a small TB stamped in the fourth angle which does not encroach noticeably on the design in the style of Tudor letters so presumed contemporary, this slight distraction is more than compensated by the price estimate without these marks this would very likely be a £4,000-£6,000 item
CrownElizabeth IS.2582 mint mark 1 near EF with the Queen's drapery particularly sharp, bold and even all round with an even tone a few small surface marks obverse hardly detract, not far short in overall appeal to Lot 608 in our December 2006 sale (Auction 115) which realised £11,000 hammer price, rare and desirable thus
