Sixpence 1922 Dull Finish ESC 1808, Bull 3885, Davies 1875, UNC and choice, despite the 'Dull Finish' designation for this type, this piece being in such high grade shows the true original colour of the coin. Many of this type were blighted by the poor metal mix and the changing composition of the alloy in the 1921-1922 period. This is a choice example with even underlying original colour and very scarce in this high grade, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82
Sixpence 1922 Obv 2 Rev B -- B.S.C. 1876 -- a very scarce variety, now utilising the original half silver, half copper alloy - without any nickel or manganese - but with deeply blanched flans, inducing slightly more silver to the coin surfaces, about as struck
