126 Australia Reserve Bank 10 Pounds Pick 36a ND 1960-1965 serial number WA/56 586834 signatures Coombs with the title Governor, Reserve Bank of Australia & Wilson with title Secretary to the Treasury. The note in black on red underprint featuring Australia's Coat of Arms at upper centre, portrait of Governor Arthur Philip at left on obverse and Symbols of Science, Industry and Law at centre and a seated Allegorical woman holding a pair of compasses at right on reverse. Watermarked Captain James Cook. Admiral Arthur Phillip was a Royal Navy officer and the first Governor of New South Wales who founded the British penal colony that later became the city of Sydney, Australia.
