157 France (2) 200 Francs Pick 155a (Fayette F70.1) very FIRST date and earlier issue 1981 signatures Strohl , Troche & Dentaud serial number N.007 593203 0132593203, GEF - about UNC and very desirable in this high grade. Blue-green, yellow, and multi-coloured featuring Charles de Second at (Baron de La Brède et de Montesquieu) and as watermark, Justicia on obverse. The reverse Charles de Second at (Baron de La Bréde et de Montesquieu) and La Brède castle (Montesquieu's birthplace). Together with 50 Francs Pick 85b (Fayette F18.14) dated 15th September 1938 serial number J.8488 594 212183594 signatures Rousseau & Favre-Gilly, GVF Pinholes Minor Stain. Also known amongst French collectors as 'Ceres' featuring Ceres, Park of Versailles and reclining figure on obverse. The reverse illustrating Mercury with the Caduceus staff. Watermarked Ceres bust looking left and a Scarce note £80 - £160
