Below PRESENTED BY THE PROPRIETORS, to Mr. A.W. Mackenzie Esq. April 3rd 1897, EF. A total of 34 inscriptions are so far recorded of the recipients of the medal between 1893 and 1897. Established in 1874, the restaurant was the grandest establishment of its kind in London and held a unique position in London social life. Many of its facilities were available for private hire, with the King's Hall capable of accommodating 500 diners. The room is described as the 'Home of Golf, Hockey and Tennis clubs holding Annual Reunions'. The restaurant operated until 1954. It was demolished in 1955.

A total of 34 inscriptions are so far recorded of the recipients of the medal between 1893 and 1897. Established in 1874, the restaurant was the grandest establishment of its kind in London and held a unique position in London social life. Many of its facilities were available for private hire. The King's Hall could accommodate 500 diners. The room is described as the 'Home of Golf, Hockey and Tennis clubs holding Annual Reunions'. The restaurant operated until 1954. It was demolished in 1955.

USA Libertas Americana Medal 1781 48mm in cast bronze by A.Dupre, Obverse: Bust of Liberty left with flowing hair and staff wearing the cap of Liberty, LIBERTAS AMERICANA, In Exergue: 4.JUIL 1776, Reverse: Infant figure of America, as Hercules, strangling two serpents, while France, as Minerva, repels the approach of an attackingBritish lion. NON SINEDIIS ANIMOSUS INFANS. In Exergue: 17/19 OCT.1777/1781. The two dates in the exergue signify the two American victories over General Burgoyne at Saratoga in 1777, and over 1st Marquis Charles Cornwallis British major-general in the American War of Independence. Eimer 793, Betts 615, 48.94 grammes, NEF with a small edge nick. Note: This medal was conceived by Benjamin Franklin, who ordered its production. 300 pieces were struck in bronze, of which it is believed around 100 survive today, also 55 in silver and it is believed that two pieces were ordered in gold for Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. This medal signifies an important piece of early American history.
