Misc Items edge lettering s (2) both blanks with lettered edges, the first with DECUS ET TUTAMEN on a plain edge, 6.85 grammes, the second with DECUS ET TUTAMEN ANNO REGNI XXXI in italic font with a Cross Crosslet privy mark after TUTAMEN, 7.72 grammes both VF, along with a resin impression 65mm diameter of possibly a proposed design and two further paper impressions of the same design, , these accompanied by two lets by the , the first entitled 'The United Kingdom Coinage' July 1987, the second entitled 'Proposals for a £1 coin and a 20p Coin' January 1981, these both in good condition

Misc Items Designs compiled by a Mr.A.Wiseman, who was paid by the Royal Mint to make these designs, which include the original hand drawn sketches. The Mint subsequently chose not to use them, apart from the Gateshead nnium Bridge idea, which was then used on a similar design on the coin. Some design ideas are included which were used on the Queen's Beasts series. The subjects cover Heraldic, Fauna, Sir , Castles and Palaces and other supplementary designs. There are a total of 28 designs with 2-5 drawings and photos of each in a large . This is a unique book purchased by the Vendor from the artist. The drawings depict many elegant designs and would make an interesting addition to any Numismatic Library

Misc Items design in plaster 175mm diameter, Crowned shield ONE POUND below, also two rubber inverse casts 170mm diameter and 215mm diameter, the first with Crowned shield ONE POUND below, similar to the plaster, the second with Royal Shield of Arms helmeted and crowned, with Crowned Lion and supporters, DIEU ET MOIN DROIT on ribbon below, all in excellent condition, an unusual group giving an insight into the early stages of design and minting processes
