This a superior piece and worthy of inclusion in the finest Florin collection
Florin 1894 ESC 878, Bull 2964, Davies 833 dies 1A, first I of VICTORIA points to a space, by far the scarcer of the two types, bright NEF, once cleaned, our archive database shows we have only offered three previous examples
Florin 1869 ESC 834, Bull 2867, Davies 749 dies 3A, Top Cross on reverse does not touch border beads. Die Number 5. EF/GEF and lustrous, the obverse with some contact marks, retaining plenty of mint lustre with golden toning in the legends and with considerable eye appeal. We note this piece considerably superior to the example in the Andrew Wayne and Roland Harris Collections
Florin 1887 Gothic M in date broken on second arch as ESC 866, Bull 2913 A/UNC, the reverse retaining some lustre, with a very small minting flaw in the form of light flattening to the top crown band, Very scarce in high grades

Florin 1921 ESC 940, Bull 3768 in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 80. A most attractive example of the 'Dull Finish' Half Silver type, displaying almost full original colour. Very few 1920-1922 Florins remain in this original condition, as many adjustments were made to the alloy with varying amounts of nickel, manganese and zinc used, and the 'Dull Finish' experiment was curtailed. Bright finish coins were again produced from late 1922 onwards.
Florin 1867 ESC 830, Bull 2860, Davies 745, dies 2A, Die Number 1, NVF/About VF and scarce. Our archive database shows that we have never offered a Die Number 1 example of this date in 17 years. 9 die numbers have been recorded, we have previously offered only die numbers 3,4,5,6,7 and 9
Florin 1858 close ccc in date ESC 816B, Bull 2839, Davies 731 UNC the obverse with olive and gold tone, the reverse with touched of blue and magenta tone. Ex-Cheshire Collection NGC MS64 (the NGC ticket no longer with the coin.) In an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82, the only example of this date and type recorded by the LCGS Population Report. All Gothic Florins difficult to find in grades 80 and above, the LCGS Population statistics show only 22 currency coins of all Gothic dates have achieved grades above 80
Florin 1849 ESC 802, Bull 2815 UNC or very near so, with a minor contact mark behind the bust otherwise choice. A light subtle tone over original lustre adds to the superb eye appeal of this piece. Godless Florins now very difficult to find in the highest grades

Florin 1900 ESC 884, Bull 2971 a most attractive and original example with deep golden tone and outstanding eye appeal, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82, the joint finest of 23 examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report. This coin has a very low UIN number (177) and since this over 43,000 further coins have been graded and this has yet to be beaten, thus proving that grade 82 examples in the Veiled Head series are around the finest available
Florin 1920 ESC 939, Bull 3765, Davies 1744 dies 2E, The obverse with the early George V head in higher relief. A superb example of the first year of the Half silver type, displaying much original colour and underlying mint lustre, very different in appearance the preceding Bright Finish coins, as various experiments were made with the non-silver part of the alloy from 1920-1922. Few coins with true original colour survive, a choice piece, in an LCGS holder and graded LCGS 82, the joint finest known of 15 examples thus far recorded by the LCGS Population Report.
