Ralph Stockman (1861-1946) was Professor of Materia Medica, 1897 to 1937, and a leading authority in the field of pharmacology. He was awarded an LLD (Honorary Doctorate) in 1936 and the Stockman Medal is named after him. The medal was founded in 1937 in commemoration of the services of Ralph Stockman, Regius Professor of Materia Medica from 1897-1936.
