Mint Error- Mis-Strike Portugal 200 Reis struck off-centre and double struck, off-metal in bronze bearing the Young Head of Maria II, 26mm diameter , 5.546 grammes, the main striking undated (date off-flan) considerably off-centre and with 4mm flan showing part of the underlying coin. The underlying coin clearly shows the date 1836 and the lower part of the head of Maria II (Very Rare), overall Near Fine/Fine and potentially very rare as both a mis-strike and a rare date, we note only one recent transaction of a correctly struck 1836 200 Reis in silver, this realising $700 in a PCGS VF30 Secure holder (Stacks 2016)
Farthing 1733 3 over a blundered figure. Both 3's in the date overstruck with the understrike having evidence of a diagonal line from top right to bottom left, more prominent on the first 3.
