Violet and brown on multicolour underprint with a new portrait of Sir Walter Scott at left and the older issues' portrait now as watermark, bank arms at centre and a commemorative panel reading "300 years of Service to the Community 1695 - 1995" at lower centre on obverse and bank head office building at lower left and Education and Research at centre on reverse.
