Electoral Medal 1818 47mm diameter in White Metal, unsigned, Obverse: A vase with an eagle on the lid, two females holding a wreath with 1055 within. Reverse: A similar vase except that two females hold a scroll on which COOKE/&/INDE-/PEN-/DENCE/1818 BHM 972 (RR), 48.05 grammes, NEF and unusual. In 1818 Colonel Cooke unsuccessfully contested the seat for the city of York. He polled 1055 votes and the following November was presented with a cup valued at 150 Guineas, undoubtedly that which is represented on this medal. His obituary appears in the Gentleman's magazine in 1852. An interesting piece of political history.

The main leather body of the belt has 20 Centavos (115) and 10 Centavos (25) Argentina and Bolivia issues all 1880s, in mixed grades, this and other attachments gives a total silver weight in the region of 25 Troy oz.
