The vendor informed us the three consecutive 1908 five pounds offered here formed part of a hoard of 20 consecutives discovered by his father over 50 years ago. They were split at that time between various family members and we have sold another from the hoard B/4 85878 in 2011 (LCA 133 Lot 2486) graded as Near EF and realised £1,300.
