English Banknotes Bank 5 Pounds cut- across signature dated 8th October 1807 number D420 for Miles, Vaughan, Miles, Baugh and Birch where Birch has been struck off, manuscript signatures for Entered Wm. Holmes and the other cut-cancelled (Outing 305b, Grant 468K), an Exceptionally Rare example in VF or about minor wear holes in design and expected for a note over 2 centuries old. The note uniface displaying a vignette of Bristol city Coat of Arms at centre left with text Corn Street beneath, G. Johnson fc. Bristol imprint and an embossed Revenue stamp at lower centre. Printed on with faintly visible partnership in an enframed design. A unique opportunity to acquire this seldom seen note with the last date before the Birch name was removed completely from partnership

English Banknotes Bank 5 Pounds last year dated 22nd March 1809 before failure No. 678 For Pocklington, Dickinson & Co. manuscript signed Wm. Dickinson and J. Cope (?) for entered (Outing 1488k; Grant 1998C), presentable Fine - VF slightly trimmed possibly original and multiple pinholes in body, Rare. Embossed Revenue stamp for 1 Shilling is quite clear at left obverse and 1 bankruptcy stamp on reverse with manuscript signatures. The note features the Bank's Coat of Arms and name in circular frame at left obverse and printed on where watermark reads "NEWARK" at centre and printed in an upside-down mirror-image fashion.
