England, Scotland & Ireland 1, 5, 10 and 20 Pounds (40) mostly average VF and above circa 1960's to modern issues. England consists of 1 to 10 PoundsPage, Kentfield, Lowther and Bailey (6). Ireland consists of Murray & Murchu signatures (2) a Lady Livery 1 Pound Pick 64d 1976 along with 1 Pound Pick 70a 1977. Also includes a modern 5 PoundsPick 75b 1998 O'Conail & Mullarkey. Scotland 1 to 20 Pounds (18) comprises mostly modern 1990's onwards from Clydesdale Bank plc, Bank of Scotland, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc and Bank of Scotland accompanied by a few collectible examples as the Commercial Bank of Scotland Limited 1 Pounds (3) including a Pick S332 (BY SC405) 1951 together with Pick 274a 1966 (2). Also, the Royal Bank of Scotland 1 Pound Pick 325a (BY SC804a) 1966 and a Royal Bank of Scotland Limited 5 Pounds 1970 signature Burke. Along with a group of The British Linen Bank 1 Pounds variously dated from 1940s to 1950's (13) including Mackenzie signature Pick 157c (7) dated 1946, 1947 (3), 1948 and 1950 (2) also Anderson signature Pick 157d (6) also various dates 1951, 1952, 1954, 1956, 1957 and 1959. Scotland The Commercial Bank of Scotland Limited Fourteenth and Final Bradbury Wilkinson issue 1 PoundPick S332 (PMS CO65, BY SC405) dated 3rd January 1951 serial number 27M 754 866 and bearing signature Sir John Erskine titled General Manager. A very attractive and eye-catching design mainly in violet on multicolour underprint with the obverse featuring a portrait of Lord Cockburn one of the Bank's first Directors at upper right and Allegorical female bust at lower centre flanked by thistle plants and 2 Allegorical figures representing Agriculture and Maritime shipping. The reverse in violet featuring a large panel with the Bank's Coat of Arms with a seated Maritime Allegorical female figure on top and flanked by 2 Griffins and thistle plants. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ld. New Malden, Surrey, England imprinted in small script at lower centre obverse and watermarked with the same female bust as on obverse. A presentable GVF example of the very last issue for the bank just before the merger with the National.
