Pearse 1879-1916 boxed commemorative medal two piece set (50mm and 36mm diameters) in 22 carat gold by Paul Vincze 1966, 1916 - 1966 50 years anniversary of Easter Rising PADRAIG H PEARCE 1879 - 1916 surrounding right facing portrait obverse WE PLEDGE OUR LIVES AND THE LIVES OF OUR COMRADES IN ARMS TO THE CUASE OF ITS FREEDOM OF ITS WELFARE AND OF ITS EXALTATION AMONG THE NATIONS reverse above two figures holding flags, total weight 189 grams so over 5 1/2 ounces pure gold content so the gold value alone in the region of £6,000 but rare as medals especially this large double gold issue, we were unable to find any previous sales results for this rare two coin set. Choice Unc in the two coin green display box with 1916 - 1966 in gold on the lid. Paul Vincze also designed coins and is responsible for designs on coins from The Channel Islands, Rhodesia and Nyasaland, Nigeria and more More medals like this	£5,300
