Cyprus 45 Piastres 1928 50th Anniversary of British Rule, Proof KM#19 nFDC with attractive grey tone, only 517 pieces minted, in the original box of issue and listing of the sale, the box in the style of the 1935 Specimen crown box, but lacking the markings on the lid. Accompanying paperwork reads thus: 'GOVERNMENT OF CYPRUS THE CYPRUS CROWN PIECE. It is notified for general information that specimens of the Jubilee 45-piastre piece, specially struck and finished by hand as medals and encased in a cardboard box, will be available for sale to the public at all Post Offices on and after Monday 26th March 1928, at a charge of 7/4½ cp. each'. Stated by the vendor to be one of only two remaining examples of the Proof coin with the box and accompanying paperwork, the box with some wear and staining, a true piece of Cypriot history
