GB Halfpenny 1899 has been largely smoothed with little detail remaining, the obverse with incuse rim teeth and a raised cross from edge to edge, an unusual piece
Canada - Quebec - Anticosti Island 1/8th Penny or 1/8th Dollar 1870, 8 over lower 8 in date, Pattern in bronze 14mm diameter, Obverse: Helmeted Bust in Roman style, Reverse with denomination in an inner circle, all within a wreath with letter A at the top. X#Pn1 Lustrous UNC and rare in this high grade. The attribution for Anticosti Island was first published in 1890 by Scott Stamp & Coin Co.

Although graded with a BN designation, this coin is by far the finest thus far graded by NGC, the next finest being PF63 RD, a rare opportunity to own a Top Population rare Proof item. We note also, only one example graded PF65 by PCGS

The obverse struck to an excellent standard with all eight pearls and all the central diamond bold and clear, a superior example of this rare date and type. We note an example only described as Fine was sold by us in our Auction A156 (Lot 1057) for as much as £48 hammer price, a truly rare item and seldom offered
