USADollar 1799 with Octagonal CountermarkS.3766B. The countermark is finely executed and has a more hauteur profile than is usually encountered, possibly from being a slightly later unofficial striking (the Maundypenny die not used on this coin is considered the die officially used). Notwithstanding it still remains an extremely rare example with only about 3 examples known. Some Obverse tooling is evident otherwise the host coin is toned about VF with the countermark somewhat better -- comes with an enlarged photograph of the countermark
