1868 New Hub for 1868, with most star positions similar to Breen 2476, Top of first S in STATES missing in centre, CENTS has end of C missing (no serif) and S missing centre of it's curved base, unlisted by Breen, Listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide to Rare Die Varieties by Fivaz and Stanton FS#5c-002.96 (Variety 3) EF with small rim nicks, the printed table in the book states that this type accounts for only 3% of the total mintage, compared to the commonest variety which accounts for approximately 48% of the total mintage, a rare die type
