St.Jean d'Acre Medal, Syria Campaign 1840, unnamed, 30mm diameter in bronzed copper, VF with some double striking to the reverse. This medal was awarded to petty officers, NCO's and other ranks, and was awarded by the Sultan of Turkey to British, Austrian and Turkish Forces under Sir Charles Napier, taking part in the liberation of this important city on the Syrian Coast after 8 years of Egyptian occupation.
