This note printed in England and this issue could not be introduced at the time due to the death King George V in January 1936 and it was only accepted to circulate these notes at par with the metallic silver rupee folowing the outbreak of the Second World War and the ensuing commodity scarcity around Silver i.e. this being a unique issuing where notes were released after the death of a monarch and also the only note to feature the serial number on the reverse.
