Penny 1875 Freeman 79 dies 8+G ICG MS64 RB (Variety not on the slab) rated R13 by Freeman, probably rarer in this high grade, we note we have only offered 3 examples since 2003, this superior to the Andrew Wayne collection example, and similar in quality to the Laurie Bamford example which fetched £356 inclusive of buyers premium in June 2006
Halfpenny 1875 Freeman 322A dies 13+J VF or better with some surface marks on the portrait, rated R17 by Freeman, we note that the example in the Andrew Wayne collection sold for £480 hammer price, we also note that there was no example in either the Nicholson or Roland Harris collections
