World Coins n Two Reales , ed W.LEVIS in a curved ribbon, GVF and bold, on a Fair host coin. Brunk L-313, Rulau HT-905. The ribbon-type prepared punch. Very Rare with about a dozen of this countermark are believed to exist on Spanish American Two Reales pieces. William Levis was a silversmith most active in the Hard Times era until his death in 1849. We note an example of this type was sold in the Donald G.Patrick of Merchant Counterstamps in January 2021 which realised $432, this coin has a superior and more bold countermark, an important coin.
