Obverse: Mary enthroned, double annulet stops with single after ANG' Reverse: Shield on a rose, S.2488, North 1956, as Schneider 704, the reverse with abbreviation mark and a double annulet stop at the end of the legend, mintmark Pomegranate, 15.34 grammes, in a PCGS holder and graded Damage - AU detail, (PCGS certificate no. 37676209) struck on a full, slightly wavy flan the coin shows slight signs of mounting at the top of the obverse, barely visible in the holder, a tiny crack on the rim is evident between the I and N of REGINA. The workmanship of these large hammered coins shows an outstanding level of detail and intricacy. Being the flagship coin of the reign, all Mary Sovereigns were minted in .995 gold, the gold standard being restored to this traditional fineness in Mary's reign. AfricaGeneral Service Medal with Somaliland 1920 clasp, awarded to K.22834 C.Fitzsimmons, Sto. 1Cl. H.M.S. Ark Royal. NEF with some hairlines, comes with copy of service record, showing that he joined the Royal Navy in July 1914, for 12 years, as Stoker 2nd Class, advancing to Stoker 1st Class in March 1917. He was invalided from the service in April 1921. H.M.S. Ark Royal was a seaplane carrier.
