CO, SILVERMITHS. in 9 Lines, About EF. These pieces were struck for the Presidential campaign of 1896, for William Jennings Bryan, and represent the difference in size between a Silver Dollar and the silver equivalent of a Gold Dollar. The market price of silver on Sept. 16th was used for comon. Bryan fought for monetary reforms as part of his Presidential campaign. He was narrowly defeated in the election by William McKinlay. An interesting piece of USA Political history. Uniface examples are recorded as are hand-inscribed reverse types. Gorham Silver was founded in 1831 by Jabez Gorham and Henry L. Webster, and was well-known for high quality spoons, thimbles, jewellery and other small items. They were the first in to use a steam-powered drop press. Such was their prowess in manufacturing that even Tiffany & Co. outsourced all it's silverware production to them.

World Banknotes - Banque Industrielle De Chine 1914-17 "Tientsin" Issue Pick S399 (S/M#C254-2b) place of issue - TIENTSIN ed in black, 2 manuscript signatures series B 1914 number 091838, the 1914 supposedly because of the issue date, however hand stamped with 25th October 1917 at centre obverse, in a holder graded Choice Fine 15 NET Ink Burn. This is an Extraorily Rare note especially in issued format due to the extremely successful note redemption rate nearing 100%, in fact its so Rare that the current SCWPM records this and the higher denominations from the series only as S and this is the ONLY issued example recorded on the PMG Population Report at the time of writing. A very attractive design as expected from Wilkinson & Co., London in blue on multicolour featuring guilloche panels with values in and English along with 2 statues of what appear to be Chinese mythological creatures at lower centre left and right on obverse, also the text at centre in a mix of English, and Chinese. The reverse in violet on multicolour with what appears to be an illustration of the popular Temple of Heaven in its methodical Confucian design. The temple originally served as a vast stage for solemn rites performed by the emperor (the literal 'Son of Heaven'), who prayed there for good harvests at winter solstice and sought divine clearance and atonement. Since 1918 this private domain has opened its gates to the public and is a poplar site where people perform daily taichi, twirl on gymnastic bars and sing ary songs. The Rarity of this note makes it a real treat for any collector and most likely to be missing from even the utmost advanced s. In contrast, online research shows none of this denomination offered with only 1 of the same type currently in the collection of the National Museum of n History and only the 10 Dollars denomination of the same type offered in recent times

World Banknotes (Lower) Champlain & St. Lawrence Railroad denomination set of 3 unissued remainders all dated , 1st August 1837 and side A (3) generally about EF - EF and Scarce comprising 7 Pence 1/2 = 15 Sous, this with a 20mm uneven tear at top margin. A 15 Pence = 30 Sous. And the Half a = 2 s = 3 Francs. Each note uniface with a different vignette of a passenger steam train at centre and all feature the reverse of different Latin-n coin as follows - the 7 Pence 1/2 Penny has the 1 Real MO, the 15 Pence - 2 Reals LIMAE and the 1/2 Dollar - a n 4 Reals PTS. These notes were issued in sheets of six with side B on the left and the side A on the right. An interesting historical fact is that the Champlain and St. Lawrence Railroad was the first public railroad in Canada and one of the first railways in North America as we now understand the term, although the country had several tram-roads earlier - at least 2, and it was the first to use steam locomotives with a 14 miles of railway in operation, with the first steam locomotive used at the official opening of the railroad on July 21st 1836.

In a  holder and graded Very Fine 25 Annotations. One of the rt denominations for the short-lived currency union of Qatar & Dubai being perceived to be just as Rare as the 25 Riyals, this note will make a fascinating addition to any serious . While the use of 1, 5, 10 and 100 Riyals proved popular and numbers increased in circulation over the years after the initial release, the 25 and 50 Riyals however decreased and with the initial issued figures being significantly lower than the other denominations not a lot of examples must have survived over the years.
