Ten Shillings Bradbury Third Issue T18 Dash in No. Black serial number and single prefix A variety recorded only 1 to 40 issue 1918 serial number A/3 156998, Fine - VF with several Pinholes in the body of the note but fairly well kept, presentable and Very Rare now more than a century old note. An interesting inked annotation on the reverse reads "U.D.F to F.U.G / Peace day / 11 Nov 1918" which is indeed the date of the armistice signed at Le Francport near Compiegne that ended fighting on land, sea and air in World War I between the Allies and Germany, also known as the Armistice of Compiegne where it was signed at 5:45 a.m. by the French Marshal Foch and came into force at 11:00 a.m. Paris time on 11 November 1918 and marked a victory for the Allies and a defeat for Germany, although not formally a surrender. It is uncertain if the lettering was made on this exact date but it is very likely as the first issue date for these notes is 22nd October 1918 which puts them at the appropriate time, so this makes a very interesting piece which possibly had and still is bearing a significant historical echo across the decades

Canada (Lower) Champlain & St. Lawrence Railroad denomination set of 3 unissued remainders all dated Montreal, 1st August 1837 and side A (3) generally about EF - EF and Scarce comprising 7 Pence 1/2 Penny = 15 Sous, this with a 20mm uneven tear at top margin. A 15 Pence = 30 Sous. And the Half a Dollar = 2 Shillings 6 Pence = 3 Francs. These notes were issued in sheets of six with side B on the left and the side A on the right. An interesting historical fact is that the Champlain and St. Lawrence Railroad was the first public railroad in Canada and one of the first railways in British North America as we now understand the term, although the country had several tram-roads earlier - at least 2, and it was the first to use steam locomotives with a 14 miles of railway in operation, with the first steam locomotive used at the official opening of the railroad on July 21st 1836.

South Africa Gold 50 OunceKrugerrand 2017 50th Anniversary of the first Krugerrand, with the '1967-2017 50 Year Anniversary privy mark in the reverse field. Proof FDC, a spectacular piece and the flagship coin of the 50th Anniversary series. 100mm diameter and weighing 1696.6 grammes. Of a total mintage of 50 coins, it is believed that only 2 examples of this piece are available in the UK, with the other retailing in excess of £100,000, comes in the large and impressive South Africa Mint box of issue, with certificate of issue number 36 of 50 issued, 294-page hardback book 'Krugerrand Golden Jubilee' by Francois Malan and a set of South Africa postage stamps (3) International Small Letter rate each with Krugerrand coin designs 1967, 2000 and 2017 embossed onto gold foiling. The ultimate in large gold coinage, and by comparison, dwarfs the recent One KiloRoyal Mint issues. A true status symbol coin, and a rare opportunity to own one, indeed our research indicates this is the first such piece to be offered at auction. Given the mintage and limited availability it may be many years before this issue is offered again at auction.
