Halfcrown 1693 ESC 519 beautiful grey gold tone and sharp fields give the appearance of a choice EF piece but cabinet friction to the high points perhaps warrant a GVF, very pleasing to the eye (lists at £1,850 in EF now in Spink)
Penny 1831 .W.W on truncation Peck 1458 EF with chocolate tone and some light contact marks on the obverse, much rarer than stated by Peck, our records indicate this is only the second example we have handled, and by far the finest, we note a Good VF example sold for £150 hammer price in LCA 117 in June 2007

Penny 1858 8 over 2, this variety previously thought to be 8 over 3 with die cracks through the top half and bottom half of all four digits of the date, recent research has stated this is more likely to be 8 over 2, indeed this coin shows a small part of the point of the 2 at the bottom left of the 8. Recent research suggest that this die only had a short working life (Source: Michael Gouby, article Spink Numismatic Circular May 2010 pages 72-73) this example UNC or near so with around 80% lustre on the obverse, the reverse with around 20% lustre and with minor cabinet friction and a couple of small spots, very rare in this grade

CrownElizabeth I mint mark 1 bold VF drapery particularly sharp, some stress lines as often, the reverse has a small TB stamped in the fourth angle which does not encroach noticeably on the design in the style of Tudor letters so presumed contemporary, this slight distraction is more than compensated by the price estimate without these marks this would very likely be a £4,000-£6,000 item
Crown 1935 Incuse edge Proof in .500 Silver. ESC 377A (R6). The edge legend on this type is much less sharply defined than on the specimen Crown of this year. The edge itself is sharper and gives the impression of being somewhat broader than the 1935 Specimen Crown. The fields are distinguished by a more mirror-like finish and display a superior strength of detail and strike. nFDC with a pleasant mottled green and gold tone. Excessively Rare and possibly the finest known example. Note: This specimen is superior to the E D J. Van Roekel Collection (lot 259) example sold by Spink (15.12. 2001) and considerably better than a specimen sold by Morton and Eden (sale 2.12.2009 lot 263) described as ‘somewhat impaired by past polishing, with minor edge bruises and surface marks, about extremely fine.? This last piece achieved an auction price of £1600 plus buyers premium.
Crown 1847 Gothic UNDECIMO Proof looks choice FDC but graded as AU 75 by CGS close inspection reveal no contact marks and a sharp and pleasing coin but some hairlines which CGS are strict on, not surprisingly then the CGS population report shows 10 Gothic Crowns graded and none higher than AU 78, this piece scarce and desirable thus
